WAO! is not just an app; it’s a vision brought to life by Maxim Lord. With a deep understanding of design, user experience, and community engagement, I conceptualized, designed, and developed WAO! to make discovering events and activities more accessible and enjoyable.

 

My Role in WAO!

1. Concept and Vision:

 

• Identified a gap in the market for a comprehensive event discovery tool catering to all event types, from intimate local gatherings to large festivals.

​

• Designed WAO! to target a broad demographic, with a focus on ages 20-40, and began with a regional rollout across Oskarshamn, Västervik, Öland, and Småland.

​

2. App Design and Development:

 

• Designed the app’s interface with a strong emphasis on UI/UX, ensuring a clean, intuitive, and visually engaging experience.

​

• Self-taught in Flutter/Dart to develop the frontend, showcasing versatility and dedication to the project.

​

3. Content and Branding:

 

• Crafted a cohesive and memorable brand identity for WAO!, including its logo, color scheme, and promotional materials.

 

• Produced all visual and written content for social media, ads, and campaigns, effectively engaging with the target audience.

4. Event Organizer Engagement:

 

• Built relationships with event organizers, connecting them to the platform and ensuring a wide range of event listings.

 

• Developed tools and starter kits to make onboarding simple and efficient for organizers.

 

5. Growth and Marketing:

 

• Leveraged my expertise in social media marketing to grow WAO!’s presence organically, producing 3-5 engaging posts weekly.

 

• Strategized campaigns to reach new users and maintain engagement with existing ones.
